So you want to be better? The basics is a great place to start! You don’t need to be better than everyone else, you just need to be better than yourself; better than you were yesterday. I want to help you out with that!
Welcome to Apex Tough, my name is Zach, and my goal is to help people better themselves through fitness. As I’m writing this, the new year is practically here, and upon reflecting on this past year, I’ve asked myself what my goals are for the upcoming year, as I’m sure you have as well. I’m currently active duty Air Force and I love it, but fitness is a huge passion of mine. With that being said, I need to figure out what I want to do post-service. Who knows if I’ll pursue personal training as a career, but what I do know is that regardless of where my career path takes me, I want to help people better themselves through health and fitness.
I remember when I first started going to the gym, I was absolutely lost and felt completely out of place. I went through article after article, and website after website, trying to learn my way around a gym. It was exhausting and overwhelming, since it seemed like there was just SO much that I needed to know. After spending the last 7 years or so continuously learning the ropes, I’ve decided I want to help those of you, who like me, felt completely lost when it came to getting myself into shape.
So where to begin?
Well, there is a LOT of health and fitness information out here on the vast interweb. With so much information available at the touch of a button, it can be overwhelming and exhausting to decipher. I want to make it simple for you, because one thing I’ve learned over the years is that the fastest way to give up on something is to feel overwhelmed.
Health and fitness is NOT confusing, despite how lost you might feel because of being overloaded with so much information. It’s actually extremely simple, so don’t let the availability of information scare you away from achieving your goal of being better than you were yesterday.
